11 month old DS hitting out in anger

DS is 11 months old and in the past couple of weeks he has started either hitting me, biting me or scratching my face when I try to take something off of him that he shouldn't be playing with. Every time I say no and put him down and ignore him for one minute but it doesn't seem to be helping. Suggestions for stopping this please! I'm scared he is going to turn in to the child who attacks other children at play group because they have a toy he wants!

Sorry to say that it's just a phase and he'll grow out of it. DS2 was much the same at that age and it's just the sheer frustration that makes them do it, they can't articulate how they feel so they lash out. Doesn't stop it hurting though!

I found that if I reacted he did it more, so hard as it is try not to react and heap on the praise when he hands something over without lashing out.

Someone suggested to me I make a big show of the "OW! That HURT!!" but it just made him laugh, little sod.

Hi, I'm going through this too with my 9 month old.
And if I say ow he laughs and does it more.

my dd 12 months bit me yesterday through my jumper and broke the skin,i shouted as it hurt and she led against me and pretended to be asleep Shock I wouldnt have believed it had i not seen it for myself.
I think the less fuss you make the better as they do just see it as attention and good fun.
