Separation anxiety at eight years old

My DD is eight and she has always had difficulty separating from me. I work away occasionally, I always tell her when I am going and when I will be back, I have even taken her with me so that she can visualise where I am. She is at home with DH and sister, and the household routine stays the same. I am two days away from going again and she is already distraught. Any ideas on how to lessen her distress would be VERY welcome. First time poster...I hope this works!

What is she scared of? You never coming back? Is she fine once you have gone? My DD, same age hates it when I go out, even for an evening out. I can only suggest lots of reasurance, maybe the promise of a small treat when you return? Ask DH what she is like once you have left. She may be fine and just hates the goodbye bit. Good luck!! x
