Hi Everyone, I'm new to MumsNET, so hope I'm adding this in the right area!

My BF 7 week old DD tends to bring up a little of her milk every day, but then about once a week she has a day when she is sick after most feeds. Yesterday she was sick many times throughout the day and even started to choke on some of her vomit, which was obviously very worrying. She doesn't seem to be in discomfort while eating and she feeds frequently and with enthusiasm and tends to fall asleep on me at the end of a feed. I sometimes hear her tummy making gurgling noises and she farts a lot! I'm wondering if my diet impacts whether she is sick afterwards? Or any other suggestions people have on how to help are gratefully received.

Yes, your diet could be the cause...... she may be cows milk intolerant (either to the sugar or the protein in the milk), it can pass from you to her in BM, and some babies are sensitive enough to reach to this.

Easy to see if this is the case - cut out all cows milk products (cheese, things with milk in, everything!),for a week, and if you see a huge improvement in your DD in that time (the farts as well as the being sick), then that's what it is (my ds4 has cows milk allergy). If no improvement in a week, then it's not the cows milk!
