5 year old bowel habits!!!

Sorry not the nicest of topics but anything seems to go on here!

My nearly 5 year old poos small amounts 4 or 5 times a day. Nearly every time he has a wee there is also some poo. If he is home he will ask me to wipe him and sometimes there is only a tiny bit.

I wonder if he is a bit constipated. He eats loads of fruit and veg. He doesn't drink enough especially when he is at school. Not sure if its relevant but he is still wet at night.

Sometimes he does do a normal poo but will sit there for ages. Is that a man thing! He missed snack time at school last week as he was in the loo.

Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions. I was going to mention it to the doctor but wondered if I am missing something. I'm sure it can't be right for him to poo so often. Plus his bottom gets sore as he is not brilliant at wiping himself when he needs to. He doesn't seem to strain to go.

Thanks.

I think what he does is normal for him. It doesn't sound like any problems.
