DD has just turned two, when should I move her into a bed? TIA.

I'd say 2.5 unless she is climbing out the cot.

Is it a full size bed or a toddler bed? DD is 4 and is still in a toddler bed but she is pretty small.

Depends on the child and their sleeping patterns.

With my DD it was 2½ years old when she moved bedrooms (and we started trying for #2).

With DS it was at 20 months as he refused to go back into his cot after we came back from a holiday in Japan. But it took months to get him to stay in his bed and not wander into our room when he woke in the night.

dd was 2 and ds was 2 1/2 years when they went into full sized single beds

Mine were about 2, we put a gate on their door

Oh and if I remember correctly we started the first one off on a mattress as he was a wriggler and the 2nd time the bed had rails

DS had just turned 2. He's in a toddler bed, we moved him because the catches on his cot were breaking. We put the toddler bed in his room for a couple of weeks before moving him so he was used to it.

DS is 3 in April and we are moving him from a cot bed with the sides up to a full size single bed with a bed guard when we move into our new house in 2 weeks time. I think as long as they are not trying to climb out it's fine to keep them contained!
