10 month old hitting himself. Is this normal?

my ds has started slapping himself on e head with open palms. He knows how to clap hands. Is this just an extension? He started when he was tired or frustrated. Now does at other times but most difficult on changing table or whilst dri king bedtime bottle. It looks painful to me???

my nearly 10 month old has started doing this today! She was very very tired!! She shakes her head and pulls her ears so I just assumed it was just a new way of keeping herself awake. I was a bit concerned though so Hopefully someone will be along soon to say its all ok!

In my experience (3 kids in) mine would pull ears and bang heads when they were small which was ALWAYS a sign that they were tired. When they get to about 3 and can talk, everything will be a tummy ache!!
