10mo tantrums?

My ds, 10mo, is very big (size 18-24) and is developing really fast although not yet walking (thankfully). He's lately learnt to point at things and tries to grab everything, if he's in my arms and points at something and i don't go to it and let him have it he goes nuts. He understands 'no' and follows it for things that we have been saying the word for sometime, but this new thing is different, and if he's distracted quickly it's ok, but the problem is that it tends to just be replaced for the nearest forbidden thing, and he is destructive, pulls radio knobs that i didn't even know could be pulled, etc. When he's like this, I can't put him down on the floor as he curves his back and wriggles and wriggles and screams. Gosh, writing this down it sounds very silly, but it has made our day hell! Is it a phase? everything seems to be, but how do i help him go through it?

Distract and ignore as much as possible. Stay calm. Baby proof any room that you're in as much as humanly possible so that he can wander around and fiddle without you having to say no all the time. My DS (now 13 months) went through a phase of this at about 11 months and he still does it now and again. All I do is firstly say "no" and then if that doesn't do the trick I take him away from whatever he's playing with. That's all you can do really. Remember the "tantrums" are just him playing out his frustration, they won't do him any harm so just leave him at it.

My baby boy is 8 months, and he has tantrums too. He throws his whole body, flips his body, screams/ cries, and even pinches and bites! Is that even possible at this age ? Lol but he does it!
