been in to see my 3.8 year olds preschool class ( so many parents invited in each week). I mentioned that i was concerned my DD seems to look away when he is talking to someone, and his speech is very fast and quite incoherent. She said she was more concerned that his sentences ( those she managed to understand) were disjointed. had no time to persue it as class assembly. she said she would keep an eye on it.
Should i be worried? I am concerned and not sure of next step/ how to help

I would refer to a Speech and Language Therapist if you are at all concerned, you can self refer or go to your GP. Some areas have a 'drop in' so you can just pop in with your DD and get an idea of what to do next.

Do you understand what she is saying? Or is she just incoherent to others?

I have to say slow down, you need to speak slowly for mum to know what you are saying. does tend to be a bit garbled

It's really hard to know whether it's a problem or not without meeting your DD, so I'd just refer to a Speech and Language Therapist to be on the safe side - they'll be best placed to know if she'll need a bit of extra help or if everything's fine. HTH.
