my 6 yr old was making his 3yr old lick the side of his bum cheeks what the hell do i do

Just explain that it in inappropriate and his 'private areas' are not to be licked by siblings and do not panic. It's normal kids experimenting. Nothing sinister.

do i tell the school for some help as i dont want other things to come up had a problem at school where a yr1 boy had told him to ask a girl to lift her top up to so he could suck her boobs what do u do

Why tell the school? This happened at home between siblings, is that right?

It's something you can deal with at home. I'm sure you've already told him it's completely inappropriate and unpleasant.

You are making a mountain out of a molehill. Tell you 6 yr old to stop being silly and not to do it again and then forget about it.

This brings back memories . My friends and I, aged about 5, used to hide under the bed and lick, bite, sniff and rub various creams (stolen from mum's bedroom) into each others bottoms. It was called 'bottom games' as I recall.

Nothing sexual about it, although we were aware it was a bit 'naughty' (hence the hiding under the bed). I think it's just something children do that makes no sense to, or is interpreted in a different way by, adults.

3. Have a conversation about which bits of the body are private - which makes it normal for them to be curious, but they really are private, so they should not ask to see or touch other peope's private bits, or show theirs to anyone except a parent.

It sounds more like your older kid seeing what power he had over the younger one - normal, really. He is old enough to know bums are naughty, but he wouldn't know it was anything sexual. Little kids have power games all the time.

I remember games with my best friend in which we examined each other's bottoms..holes and all! And boys have willies to do SO many fun things with!!

Just repeat that bodies are private and that it's fine to touch/lick/etc their own but nobody else's..not even their brothers:)

If you are worried about his general behaviour and struggling to cope with him, then ask at the school office about how you contact the Parent Support Adviser. They're great - if they don't know how to help, they'll point you in the right direction.

But the examples you're giving us are bog standard 6 year old boy stuff. No need to panic. Talk about things being private and move swiftly on. If you make too big a deal of it it will become a big deal when it doesn't have to. And don't compare him with your nieces - pointless.
