8 month teething - refusing milk

I never had any of this with DS1

But now DD who is 8 months has 2 front teeth coming through and really wants milk, but when I come to give it to her (breastfeeding) she can't drink it. At the moment all she can do is bite me, but not actually suck the milk.

Its like sucking is too painful.

I've just given her a teaspoon of Calpol. Is this the right thing to do?

Have any of you got any other tips?

My boobs are so full of milk because she has been like this all day. I've got her to eat some cold mashed up food from a spoon, but she just can't have my milk. This seems really strange to me. Is it?
