Imaginary friend driving me mad

my daughter K (almost 4) has an imaginary friend called Sarah who ranges from being the same age to being grown up with kids. Every other sentence begins 'my friend Sarah...'. K is insistent that we set up a play date with Sarah and gets annoyed that we can't arrange it. Aware that imaginary friends are said to be a good thing but this is trying to say the least.

Give her a call, I'm sure she'll be round before you've even put the phone down! Peppa Pig, ET and Peter Pan all come to ours, I have to open the front door for them, in the past I've laid a place at dinner, "Emily" often travels in our spare car seat and has to be strapped in! Just go with it, it's annoying when it takes time and you're in a rush, but seriously just call "Sarah" and check with her "Mum" that she can come over.
