Please tell 13 month DS throwing everything is just a phase

He is throwing everything! Food - almost eveything hits the floor - and toys. We go to a music group which he did love and played all the instruments and now he just throws them!
It's doing my head in to be honest. Just a normal phase? When will it pass?

Ds was the same. Around 15/16 months he started eating more and flinging less - he still dumps his plate on the floor if I'm not quick enough to catch on he's finished, so the floor mat is still in use.

Rotate your toys if you can, so heavy / lethal pointy ones go away and nice squiggy balls, soft ones come out (Ikea do loads of cloth play food, farm animals etc)

He's 18 months and still slaps me in the face sometimes so its not all roses round here.

Once they stop doing one annoying thing, ime, you don't notice as they've started something else that you haven't worked out how to deal with yet...

Then they progress onto banging cupboard doors/shutting room doors - when they discover how to have a joke at around 14-15 months you may find this slightly more annoying Hmm

DD is two and throws everything on the floor or in the bath. She finds it really funny. She also likes scratching my face. If I say "no scratching" she just laughs and mocks me. She doesn't scratch out of anger - mainly when she gets over excited.

Hopefully the phase will pass.

Dd2 is doing this. She is 12mo and will throw anything she can get her hands on.

She will take things off shelves in shops to throw on the floor, including wine in the supermarket.

She is really enjoying slapping everyone too, and if your not quick enough she will whip your specs clean off your face and snap them.

DS delighted in chucking all his food everywhere, every meal time from 6mo to 2yrs. It was disheartening to say the least but I got bloody good at catching plates mid air Grin. The food thing just stopped by itself so don't despair. Still chucks everything else though!
