It is really strange.

A few days ago ds and I were playing games and I was a little girl of 4 called Amelia. I put on a silly voice and became her and we had tea etc

Then I forgot about it.

But last night, when ds was not eating his dinner (lasagne) I became little girl again and said, 'go on, eat it and then we can play!' and he gobbled it up.

He has done the same again today. When I was little girl I asked him why he had been naughty today and he told me exactly what he had done and why and gobbled up his lunch which he wouldnt normally do!

Is it like having an imaginary friend?

I have two imaginary friendly crocodiles who assist in such matters.

Glad it's not just me!

I have worked with children all my life and never come across this before!

Yes! I've done this with various alter egos and dd (2) is mesmerized: works wonders. Maybe I'm nicer or more interesting in guise of Big Ted or whatever

Strange......my little girl is called Amelia and is a very bossy 2.5 year old - do you think you have taken on her personality in a weird twlight zoney kind of way.................
