Hi, I am posting for my sister. She has a 14 month old dd who she has recently noticed has been more clingy and crying more than usual, and she has noticed she appears to be more slender. We have just weighed her and she is only 20 pounds which puts her on the 11th centile we think, last time she was weighed 3 months ago she was 22 pounds and on the 75th centile. Is this cause for concern?

My sis is going to take her to baby clinic tomorrow to get weighed accurately, but just thought we would post for advice. TIA.

If she has genuinely lost weight over 3 months, then I think it would have to be cause for concern, and I'm glad she's going along to the clinic, specially as she's been behaving like she's feeling poorly. I think she also needs to be getting a GP appointment for her as well though - even if the weight isn't exactly right, the mix of weight not going up and not being happy would make me worry a bit.

yes i'd be a bit concerned I'd go to the GP.
