Are all teenagers horrendous to live with?

My dds are just 5 and 8 but theres been a few times when we have disagreed that I have though OMG, this is going to be hell when they are older. Are there any not abusive, sullen, miserable teenagers or is it something we all have to go through, I was a nightmare

fm experiancing 4 teenagers including myself......we've had 3 teen pregnancies, 1 alcholic, 1 drug addict,....ok we're a bad bunch!

I'm on my third teenager, dd1, and quite honestly, I think teens get a raw deal!! My boys are now 26 and 30 so their teens are behind them and dd1 is now at uni. There have been ups and downs but nothing to write home about. No teen pregnancies to report, no police knocking on the door, no druggies. And the same goes for their friends. None of them has been in any kind of trouble and I find them very pleasant and polite and fun to talk to. I think that you reap what you sow in many respects wrt to teens. If you expect trouble then trouble may well come knocking on your door.

They have their moments. Dsd spent a while in a psychiatric unit so that was a difficult time. That said, I wouldn't be a teenager again if you paid me, no siree, and that's something I try to bear in mind.

12 Week old child was subjected to abuse by her 19 year old babysitter & her boyfriend. The repeatedly raped her over a 2 month period.

They were sentenced to

Alan Webster; 12 years (could be out after 6)

tanya French 5 years (could be out after 2.5)

Please help us mumsnetters increase their sentences. All you need to do is email:

[email protected]

and tell them why you think these animals should stay behind bars for life.

If enough of us do this within 28 days of the animals being sentenced they will increase their sentence.
