I have a 14 month old dd who has 12 teeth & is currently cutting her top incisors. She has never been troubled by good old teething poo but at the minute has been having, essentially diarrhoea several times a day. Her bottom is raw, literally. I also now believe she has thrush too and she is on treatment for that too. (She was on antibiotics over Christmas) It has been suggested that she may have a temporary lactose intolerance as the diarrhoea has been going on for about 2 weeks & as she's never been attected this way with teething before.
I'm really wondering if anyone could enlighten me a little with regard to:
- How bad can teething poo really be & can it go on this long?
- If it's a lactose intolerance, how quickly should we see a difference when we trial her off dairy for a while?
- Does anyone know of a magic cure for her poor bum. Currently using the prescription cream for thrush & before that was sudocrem and metanium.
