Just wanting peoples opinions and advice re 5.5mo dd who I think is teething - nights suddenly deteriorated early december - from being not good (up twice or 3 times in the night and that's after early weaning) to awful (numerous and needing loads of help to get back to and remain asleep). Typical symptoms some nights - dribbling, some writhing around and crying out whilst still asleep, chewing everything in sight etc. Some nights no apparent symptoms but still getting me up frequently - typically 9, 12, 3 and 6. She is very dependent on the boob to get back to sleep and won't take a bottle/dummy/suck her thumb/have favourite toy etc. Is this always still teething but on a 'better' night or is this veering into poor sleep hygiene territory? I know that the boob situation will need addressing at some point but sometimes when clearly in teething pain being on boob is the only thing that seems to give her any respite. Sometimes feeds well sometimes just comfort.
This is all new to me - ds is 3 and I hardly noticed he was teething at all, just got a bit dribbly.
She is otherwise doing well - pretty small but very active and crawling already and trying her best to stand so I can well believe that in spite of weaning she may need some feed/boob overnight so I am reluctant to ration it too much! Any thoughts?
