Very excited to see a top and bottom tooth in dd2's mouth. She's five months old-what do I do about the not so exciting biting! Ouch!

My friend used to very firmly pull her DS off and put him back in his cot for a short while. I was amazed that it worked, I thought they would be too young still to understand, but apparently it did. (I can't speak from experience as DS1 didn't bite and DS2 hasn't yet (but still has time!))

we had it for just under a week - DD got her teeth through very early which was a bit alarming...

I used to break her latch with my little finger if I felt her going to bite down (or if she did bite down - ouch) and put her on the floor for a moment and not look at her. Then I would pick her up and carry on. It decreased over five days and then she just didn't do it any more. Though sometimes if she is very tired and feeding I feel her starting to clamp down a little, but breaking the latch always works now.

It is a bit eye-watering!
