I am worred thet my DS doesn't pull to standing. He crawls and has done for two months but he is 13.5 months now and doesn't pull to standing. If we stand him against thing he holds on for ages but doesn't move. He goes onto his knees sometimes to reach up. I am wondering if he has problems with his hips and if they are hypermobile but I don't know.

I don't know if I should be worried or if there is anything I should do. please can someone advice me

My 11.5 mo does not pull to standing. She crawls, gets on her knees and will stand holding on to things but not for long.

Spoke to my HV and she advised to take her to GP to get her hips checked out to put my mind at ease more than anything. She said if she's crawling ok then its unlikely a problem with her hips and she will probably just do it in her own time.

My dd didn't crawl untill 13m, started pulling up at 14m, cruising at 15m and then walked 16.5m. Now at eighteen months there is no difference between her and others that have walked for months and months!!

I'm interested in this too!

Watching this too - DS2 13.5mths crawls (mainly comando more recently 'proper' crawling) pulls himself to his knees but hasn't got any further - yet...!!!

I'd really like to know if anyone can offer OP an opinion - I'm in same boat!

I had this same query a month ago but my 12 month old DS doesn't crawl or bum shuffle but he can walk on his own! He is only just learning to pull himself up to standing from sitting. He cannot get himself from lying to sitting. I would just give your DS time. My DS goes to nursery for long days twice a week and he seems to have started to develop a lot more quickly maybe from seeing the other children get about. I felt the same as you when all his friends were crawling or bum shuffling and he just wasn't able to. He still cannot get into a crawling position and just rolls around on the floor a lot. Or if he's standing he'll just walk off to where he wants to go. I have no concerns about his physical development.
