Colic - Colief and breastfeeding - mixing with ready made formula?

Hi

I have a 4-week-old with tummy pains and the Infant Feeding Specialist has advised me to try COLIEF for colicky pain.

I'm breastfeeding but find it difficult to express milk. I know the Colief instructions advise you to express a little milk and mix the Colief in with that before giving it to the baby and then breastfeeding as normal.

Does anyone know whether, as an alternative, you can mix the Colief with a little bit of warmed ready made formula, and then give it to the baby before starting the breastfeed?

Any advice gratefully received!

I cant help you with your actual question, but as a mum to a very colicky baby, i found that bumping him over rough ground and letting the push chair bounce about seemed to help him feel better. xxx

Yes, we did exactly that ( in a comfort milk formula). Fairly painless once you get the dose/ prep in advance stuff worked out.
Colief was amazing for us although it didn't fix him 100%
Good luck

Ps you can get it on prescription (if you haven't already).
