hi I have a 15.5m ds and was thinking of buying a potty after Christmas to have around so that he begins to familiarise himself with it. But what age can I expect him to actually start using it? Any other advice on the whole training thing also would be much appreciated! TIA

dd was 2 1/2 years when she started training and ds was trained by the age of 2 (used to come to the toilet and copy what we were doing and mimic wiping his bottom so we figured we would try training). As ds was a bit younger we started slowly and used pull ups so any accidents would be caught. We then took him regularly to the toilet. Once he started saying he needed the toilet we put him into pants

My dd1 was dry during day at 20 months and night by 24 months. Dd2 is 27 months and screams evrrytine you put her on potty! It happens when it happens I think. Get a potty and leave it around and see whatvoccurs
