Hi

DS is nearly 7 months. Introduced him to fruit and veg purees a coupleof weeks ago. He's eaten quite alot but nothing's come out for a fortnight. Dctor has prescribed movicol. Have searched mumsnet and most movicol chat concerns older babies/ toddlers. Anyone else any experience with a younger baby? Any ideas on how to administer. Can'tbgetbhim tontake bottle fornlove nor money.

Thanks for any advice.

Hi. You could mix with water and offer with spoon or syringe. Might be poss to mix it with fruit puree initially just so you get it in! Avoid banana unless very very ripe, kiwi fruit and figs are good as a laxative. Also is it possible to add water to puree or offer water in a cup? My older daughter is on movicol. Can be frustrating adjusting diet and finding out what digests well and what doesn't. Good luck :)

My baby boy seems to be constipated a lot and is currently 7 months and was first prescribed lactolose then movicol.

My little girl has been on movicol since she was about 1 maybe just under and we just put a sachet in her water or juice every morning.does your little boy drink anything but milk? Doctors told us you can put it in anything but milk cause it doesn't mix x
