This may be interesting, I have no idea but sounds ok from the write up.
I am still stuggling with my daughter and am getting no help. She was at pre school the other day and screamed for an hour at the teachers which feels horrible to know.

Anyway thought i would share incase it is a good programme... ;)

It looks interesting.
DS1 has selective mutism and there is a girl on the programme with it. I have told my family and friends to watch as they just don't get it.

Really interesting to get some sort of an insight (albeit a tiny one) into the day to day lives of these children and their families.

just watched, very interesting, all seemed like lovely families.

Was a very good programme, but nothing on there for our situation. I was approached by the tv company to take part but couldnt due to my husbands job we cant be on tv. Hopefully there will be in the next ep.
Really understood he frustration of the parents and hope for diagnosis and why she was so relieved at the autisim dx. Not being listened to is just the worst.

Hi appreciateit, it sounds like you are having a tough time.Xmas Sad

Have you ever posted on the Sn childrens board, there are loads of lovely people over there, it is very supportive.

As for the programme, I went through exactly what that lady went through in September, after 3.5 years of trying to get support for my Dd, she was finally Dx'ed with ASD by a psychiatrist at CAMHS.

I felt like hugging the Doc when she gave the Dx because I knew it would open doors for my Dd and allow her to be who she is.

We were so relieved to be listened to by the wonderful team at our local CAMHS, we had been to various proffs before but noone took our concerns seriously.

If you have concerns about your DD, you have to keep fighting. Pls don't give up, it is hard but you are doing it for your little girl.

Good luckXmas Smile.
