DD seems to hate my dressing gown [hmm]

She's 19mo and if she sees me wearing it or putting it on she'll shout "nooooooo!!!" until I take it off. It's a lovely soft one that I've had since before she came along. I can't think of any reason for her to have such a problem with it. This morning she also objected when I put my slippers on.

Any ideas or is this likely to be yet another just a strange DD 'thing'?

Sounds like a 'thing' or a phase. My ds sometimes does that with things he previously loved or wanted to do. Has she got her own dressing gown? Maybe that would help if she had a matching one

She has one but it never stays on for long. Haven't tried it recently because she's always taking it off so might try again.

Thanks Smile

My dd now 22 months went through a similar thing firstly when I would take my glasses off in the evening and then with my dressing gown in the morning. We figured she was associating these items with transition times when we were either putting her to bed or getting up in the morning. She was just a bit over tired and couldn't cope! Bless her! Hope that helps x

Thank you. She's just done it with my coat. I hadn't taken it off between getting home and putting her down for a sleep so maybe it was a tired thing.

At least I know it's not a personal grudge against my dressing gown; I love it too much to have to sacrifice it even for her!
