10month old continually rocks in his highchair - is this normal?

My ds has rocked back and forth in his highchair for months so much so that the highchair moves across the floor even with the brake on! He just does not sit still and all I can say is thank goodness for the harness! As you can imagine spoon feeding is a lot of fun! Sometimes I look at him and think is this normal? He used to do it when sitting on the floor too but now that he crawls its not as much.

Yes DS went through a phase of that too. I have read that they do this due to an interest in rhythm etc, so if you play music/give them shakers/rattles etc to play with that can help distract them. otherwise just ignore till he stops doing it!

I wouldn't worry to much as long as he is developing normally in other ways.

my ds used to do that - my dh used to say is there something the matter with him! But there isn't - they are just active babies - be warned!!
