Does anyone else have a child who seems to think they are the boss? Mine is 5 and she bosses everyone around, constantly corrects other people, argues about everything and doesn't seem to get the idea that she is actually supposed to do what we tell her to do, rather then just saying "no" or telling us we are wrong!

We aren't those sort of parents that don't discipline at all or let her run the roost so I don't understand why things are like this.

My 2 y/o dd puts her dad in the naughty space and tried to tell me off for not letting her watch tv the other day
"mummy I want to watch Justins House."
"No, were going tol have play time now dd."
"Mummy, Justins house, PLEASE"
"No dd, look some craft things."
"Mummy, 1,2,3-" Then she actually confused herself as she realised that she didnt have a punishment for me and I'm the boss!

Yes my son is nearly 5 and like this. He's got worse since school started> I feel sorry for his teacher. What is your DS like at school?

sorry, I meant DD.

She is fine at school apparently! Although we had issues a while ago with her trying to control all the play at playtime. She actually told me that the other kids weren't playing with her but what was actually happening was that they just wouldn't do exactly as she told them. She felt that didn't count.

She did also take a while to get used to the idea that when the teacher told her to do something it wasn't optional!
