I heard one of the DC get out of bed so I went up to see who it was and DS (6) came out of my bedroom asking me where I had been. I said downstairs and asked him what the matter was, he ignored me. I Then told him to go for a wee (this is usually what he would wake for although it is very rare he does wake at night), he then pulled his pj bottoms down and headed off into the wrong room, I had to very quickly steer him to the toilet (he did need to go) and he was swaying slightly as he was going as if he wasn't fully awake. I then sterred him back to bed and asked him why he had got up, again he didn't answer but lead down and closed his eyes, I asked him if he knew why he had got up and he smiled, nodded then closed his eyes again and was literally sound asleep straight away.
When he does wake in the night he is usually very coherent so this seemed very strange.
Does this sound like sleep walking? and if so is it likely to be a one off or a regular thing? any precautions i need to take?
