Tummy time!

Hello, my little girl was 3 months old on Saturday and we've only really started putting on her tummy in the last week or so, previously we have done it whenever we remembered which wasn't that often at all but she really hated it so it kind of petered out. The last few days I've been really aware that she keeps dropping her chin right down on her chest when I sit her up squashing her pretty face and although she can hold her head up straight she doesnt really do it and now I'm worried that its because of me not doing tummy time every day. I was wondering if maybe she just likes the way it feels to look down but am really confused Hmm
Does anyone have any advice??
TIA

Never did tummy time DD1 screamed the place down, was obviously petrified. Don't think I ever tried with DD2.
Some DC really don't want to lie on their fronts until they can roll back themselves. I don't see it matters.

I never HEARD of tummy time til I came on MN. My dd is 7 and seems to have survived my ignorance. She went on her tummy as I recall, she rolled over etc. This was never something I felt a NEED to do especially. I just went with what felt right at the time. I wouldn't worry!

Same here. DS hated being on tummy (too chunky, and seemed to be feeding all the time, so hence tummy time made him puke a bit) Anyway, he hated it, I hardly bothered. He never worked out crawling, just went to standing and walking (holding my fingers and breaking me back from 12 months) then trotting all over by 14 months. DD less a hater of tummy time, but clearly doesn't love it. I think her tummy is a little too round for it too! She like lying on her back or being in bouncy lay back chair thing. I'd like her to figure out crawling though.
