5mth old only wants me?

My 5mth old DD has been harder to settle for daytime recently and the last couple of nights screamed and screamed at bedtime and only I can calm her. She falls asleep eventually but only in my arms. My poor DH is feeling really unloved. She is teething at the moment. Is that what this is all about? Am I setting myself up for a fall by cuddling her to sleep while shes going through what I assume is a temporary stage?

You're not setting yourself up for a fall :)

If she's feeling crappy (and teething has that effect) then a lovely cuddle with Mum will help. Most people want their mum when they feel a bit rough, even adults.

It is crappy for DH, but there will be plenty of times where she chooses to go to him than to you, tell him not to feel unloved :)

If it is definitely teething, then paracetamol or ibuprofen can help no end at bedtime because lying down makes the pain worse (I can't remember what age you can give each one from though, one of them might be 6 months)

My 7mo is the same. Problem is shes crawling now and wherever I go shes goes crying to take her. I have to hold her while shes sleeping, hold her to sleep etc. I am sooo tired. Sorry no advice, but I feel for you. I know how hard it is.
