hello, i'm not sure what toys i should get for my d.d. she loses interest very quickly and whereas my d.s would play for hours with trains and cars at the same age nothing seems to capture her interest. I'm just looking for ideas to stimulate her. Even if we play one to one she is only interested for a few minutes, she likes music and lights but again only for a few minutes. I guess this is normal for 17ms tho!? Cheers

Depends. I have a dd and a ds who can play for hours on their own. The other ds can't. The only thing he can manage on his own is TV or playdough. He's quite into that. How about playdough and some shapes to push onto it and pots to put it into.

Doll and dolls pram - although that is largely copying her sister. Stacking cups. Taking everything out of a kitchen cupboard and occasionally putting it back in again.

If I am with her she can read books for a fair while as well (lots of little ones)

I can't compare because i have twins who entertain each other for aaages thankfully!

If she's walking one of these
Different size and types of balls
Very large cardboard box to crawl in and out of and use as a den
Shapes sorter
