Odd teething symptom?

DD2 is trying to rub her nose off on my shoulder. Or at least that's what it seems like.
She's got really difficult to settle, when she used to be very good at self settling at naps and at night (when she didn't fall asleep bf'ing!)
But now she's nigh on impossible to put down unless she's quite deeply asleep because she immediately flips on her back and wails (she's 7mo and a tummy sleeper)
When I pick her up she rubs her face quite hard on me, which makes me think she's really uncomfy. I've given her calpol or ibuprofen (at different times), doesn't seem to make a huge difference.
Is it teething??

Ds finds nose rubbing comforting. He does it when he's upset, either his nose in my cheek or his comfort toy, or sometimes his cheek on my nose. He's done it since a baby, if he's ill and falling asleep he likes to stick his nose into my neck.

Does she like something soft to rub on her face? DS is very attached to my pyjama top for when he's going to sleep - he likes to grab it in his cot and rub his face into it!

Sorry I haven't been online earlier, had a horrible day today, which I won't bore you with. Anyway, thanks for the thought, it hadn't occurred to me that she was doing it for comfort. She does do it quite hard, if you see what I mean, as if she's uncomfy.
I will get her comforter on my shoulder and see if that helps.
Thanks
