9 mth old cying in sleep.normal?

my dd is co sleeping at the moment and she just started crying and screaming\shouting as if afraid of something.i jumped over to check but shes fast asleep and now doing hiccup sniffs and sighing deeply ...still asleep.screaming only last 10 secs or so.
I presume babies dream at this age?maybe vividly?
It just freaked me out a bit.it was a type of cry iv not heard from her before.

My 8 month old tosses her head and makes a pathetic whimper like the monsters are coming for her. During the day she's fearless and happy. Hope that reassures you somewhat.
