12mo grinding teeth

Dd has suddenly had a number of teeth pop up and has started grinding them. I assume she's doing it just because she's figured out that she can, and she probably likes the new interesting sensation but it's driving me round the bend! The sound goes right through me and I'm sure it can't be doing her little teeth much good.

Any ideas if I can get her to stop or do I just need to ride it out?

I could have written this post! Exactly the same - 12moDD doing it and the sound is horrid!

Mine does the same (13 months). Sounds yucky. Hopefully they'll grow out of it.

Argh my DD did this when she was younger too! I hated the sound of it. I didn't try to stop her as I didn't think she would have a clue what I was trying to say, and she eventually grew out of it after a few weeks.

My daughter did this too... normally when she was teething. Stopped doing it now - she's 14 months.
