Dd2 has just moved from Moses basket to crib and either conincidentally or because of this she's not settling back to sleep straight away after night feeds especially in the early hours. She goes to sleep during the feed but then wakes when I lay her down. Any suggestions please?!

Could be just the novelty of the new views!

Does she go off eventually?

There is the school of thought that it's better for them to be sleepily awake when they go down,& then go off by themselves. If they are always asleep in your arms they don't learn to settle themselves.

Might mean gritting your teeth a bit at first, maybe playing a bit of soothing music, or rubbing her tum firmly but slowly but without eye contact.

I put the moses basket inside the cot for the first few days to help mine get used to the different feel, then when I put them in properly I swaddled them quite tightly as some babes like the comfort of being surrrounded. (that said DD2 was a kicky little bugger & soon unswaddled herself, we got her one of those Baby "Gro-bags" ! )

She'll settle, keep trying!
