Teething and sickness

Hi

DD cut her first tooth 2 weeks ago and looks like the 2nd is on its way, shes only 19 weeks and i feel awful for her because shes really suffering Sad

She started being really quite sick about 4 weeks ago, bringing up about an ounce of feed 1-2 hours after finishing (ff). I was concerned so took her to GP who said she had reflux and prescribed Gaviscon which we tried but made very little difference to the sickness and made her very constipated so we stopped it. She now has the runs but i put that down to teething.

Saw HV yesterday who said i should continue with gaviscon and change her formula to comfort or staydown milk. Im a bit dubious, thought reflux was an awful, serious problem meaning that babies cant sleep, fight feeds etc all of which dd is fine with (sleeps 12+ hours). Her sickness has been a lot worse today but it looks like the 2nd tooth is just about to emerge and she has grizzled all evening so far (calpol and cuddles have worked a treat).

So, my question is does sickness tend to come hand in hand with teething in anyones experience before i start changing formula and medicating DD??

Thanks x
