My 7 month old dd always used to smile when people looked into her pram and said 'what a pretty baby' or something like that. She would also put up with being held by my friends when they come round. Recently she screams the place down if picked up by anyone who is not me, her Dad or my Mum. Also she is now crying when a stranger talks to her, but not all strangers, she seems to particularly dislike men!!!!!! Am not seriously worried as I am sure it is a phase but did anyone elses baby do this at 7 months, if so, when will she grow out of it?

It's normal and part of separation anxiety. Tends to peak at 9 months and there's another peak at 18 months

Perfectly normal, and in fact a good sign. It means she knows you are her mummy and other people aren't! Developmentally totally appropriate for her age.

yes perfectly normal my ds started at 6 months and by 9 months was smiling at everyone again.
