Case of the disappearing tooth....

Our DS had a tooth (canine) showing at about 19 weeks. It appeared after a paticularly "toothy" session with burning cheeks etc. It was low in the gum and the tip of the tooth was not showing.
Its not there any more - the gum must have grown round it again (DS now 21 weeks).
Anyone else encountered this phenomenon before?

Wow! Thank you all for your replies - glad to know that we're not going round the bend - we started to wonder whether we'd been imagining things!!!
