teething

Is diarrhea a sign of teething? LO has had the grossest nappies to date, took him to GP who told me that there was nothing else wrongwith him and thathis gums (top, he already has 2 bottom teeth) seemed swollen and hard. Not to mention he has been the rattiest he's ever been

We never noticed his bottoms coming in, but if this weirdness is due more teeth coming, why didn't he have these symptoms the first time round?

It can be. My ds always hasmhorrid nappies when he is teething. Usually a day or two before a tooth cuts

He's been having gross nappies for a week now....should I be worried? Doc said he' fine, maybe I should take hm back.

You have nothing to worry about at all... My DS has 5 teeth now and with each new tooth comes the worst nappies... I might be wrong, but I think I read somewhere it could be down to the amount of saliva they swallow (drool etc...) I wouldn't think he'd need to go back to the doctor though :)

How old is your daughter? My daughter is 9.5 mths old and had two weeks of bad and sticky diarrhoea at the mid of oct. I kept her home and gave her only starchy food (bread, baby and reg rice) for two weeks. Spk to the GP and they said unless she had a fever or wasn't peeing to keep her home. The good news is it did all stop after two weeks and past 10 days she's had several teeth showing signs of coming out. I think your baby is going through the same thing...

My DD has her top 2 coming through at the mo, and the symptoms seem much worse than for the bottom two (I read somewhere its cos they're bigger teeth!).

Top two here swell. No bad nappies but streaming nose, like a tap!! She seems very pained too.

JesszMum he is 8 months old, got his bottom 2 at 5.5 months. He seems well otherwise, it's just the nappies, they are seriously strange! These teeth better show their faces soon...
