I am having a real problem with my 4yr old girl answering back - she's worse than my teenager! Does anyone have any suggestions on how to cope/discipline this??

lol ... my 6 year old still does it and Im guessing its something that wont change until adulthood :)

You'll get plenty of advice on here Im sure. My DH and I did a parenting course (or two) and we STILL cant get him to stop answering back.

Good luck (sorry I couldnt give any constructive advice but Im struggling myself and look forward to seeing the responses you get).

What exactly do you mean by answering back? How do you differentiate it from answering/ defending herself? Have you got an example, please?

Don't spend all your attention on the negative - focus on the positive. Reward good behaviour wherever possible, so if she does what you say without fuss, give extra praise :)
