Hi,im at my wits end, my DS (27 months) lunges and hits and kicks other children for no reason, at playgroup, although has calmed down, and he's just started preschool, today in tears as he has been very naughty, and they want someone into monitor him. I'm getting my health visitor involve to observe him at preschool. I canunderstand kids hitting over toys, etc but he'll just go up and hit, etc! He's under a paediatrician as he had fits as a baby, I told him concerned over his behaviour and he said don't do anything till he's three! As he's only been going preschool three weeks for them to say he needs observing.... Feel so alone and stressed, help?

What happens when he hits and kicks other children?

How do you/preschool react?
What are the consequences to him, of him hitting and kicking?

Hi, I take him away from the child, apologise, sometimes he tries again and other times he goes away. I've tried time out, he just runs off if I try to get him to sit still! Preschool, I dread picking him up as I know there'll have been other episodes! They told me very sharply this is not acceptable behaviour, I know that! I'm trying to deal with it, thought preschool would knock it out of him. Health visitor came to my house yesterday and she agrees he's very busy! She's going to the preschool to observe him, and taking it from there. He has to be under the child development unit to be referred to a 'behaviour nurse' so it's one hoop then another! he's my third child and the other two were not like this!
