I have a 5 month old who has just recently started solids. He now gets about a third of a wee jar (pureed fruit) in the morning and about half a wee jar (pureed veg/dinner) mid afternoon time. Before we started solids he was taking about 8oz of milk 5 times a day and I expected this to drop when he started eating more actual food, but he still takes 7oz with his "meals" and usually 7-8oz at the other 3 feeds. I'm worried I'm feeding him too much.
Honest opinions please?

Milk feeds don't usually drop until 9 months or so - when solid food is really established. Milk should still be the bulk of their nutrition until they are one anyway. It sounds fine :)

Thank you. It's so difficult to tell if you're doing things right, it's nice to get reassurance. :)

You don't really want him dropping any milk before 6 months anyway - solids are just for little tastes and exploring different textures at this age. He'll drop his milk as he starts to eat more - he'll still need at least 20oz a day between 6-12 months.
