Shape sorters?
Board books with flaps to lift?
Wooden shape-fit jigsaws?
Xylophone?
Wooden train track?
Chubby cars?

Ebay and charity shops are your friend, also NCT sales. do you take him to toddler groups / friends houses for coffee - if so, what does he make a beeline for?

Make a treasure basket of safe but non-toy things with different textures, e.g. chiffon scarf, nail brush, big smooth pebble, plastic mirror, bath sponge etc. Bunch of old keys and old mobile phone with battery removed. Old purse with expired credit cards in that he can take out and put back in again.

My 13 month old Boy has forsaken all toys for his pushalong doggy and train. He spends every moment he can pushing them backwards and forwards through the kitchen and garden. Everything else gets a disdainful glance at the moment. No Wheels - No Fun! Seems to be his motto.

(my ankles don't agree Hmm)
