I keep telling myself that its "just a phase", friends keep telling me the same thing... but its been going on for weeks, and when she has eaten 1/2 an orange, 1 scotch pancake, and 5 mouthfuls of lasagne for the day, its hard not to worry

She is having more bottles, which is probably filling her up, but should I say no to those in the hopes that she eats?

Do I just give up and feed her chocolate sandwiches and processed cr*p just so it gets food inside her???

Just someone come join me and tell me I'm not alone really!!!

Um. That sounds like a reasonable amount of food for that age. If she has loads of milk, you might cut back (also, maybe move her to cow's milk in cups, rather than formula?), but really, they're always difficult about food at this age.

Don't give her chocolate sandwiches and processed crap.

Flamerobin - don't know how to do a link, but look in Parenting threads - there was one yesterday I started "Constant dinner time battles end in tears".... there are quite a lot of comments there you might find useful - I did

It is cows milk she's on - which she is convinced is poison in cups .

I know if my heart that she is fine, and she'll start eating when she's ready... i'm just used to my star baby who ate everything in sight!!!

If you think she's filling up on milk, you could always try dropping the amount she's having and seeing if that makes any difference. If she refuses food don't offer her milk instead, just take the food away and don't give her anything else until it's her next meal or snack time.

Will a 27 month old do ? DS used to be brilliant but now all he wants is milk and more milk. I've just been really rubbish and told him he couldn't have any until he had eaten his dinner but gave in , so I've now made it lots worse I guess. Very fustrating isn't it.

My ds who is 2.3 only drinks two glasses of milk a day which is what is recommended for his age. Why don't you start to cut down? May be easier though if you get rid of the bottles and let her have the milk in a glass or cup. I totally agree that this feeding business can get very stressfull. Whatever you do, don't give her crap. She will eat when she is hungry. And cut down on snacks and juices in between meals. Hope things work out.
