Is it normal for toddlers to HATE being dressed?

She doesn't always object but there are times when she screams and screams and tries to pull the clothes off, sometimes successfully.

Often on a quite cold morning she's genuinely happy to be in just a nappy.

I'm assuming this is a fairly normal stage in development but just wanted to check!

So normal - mine also hate new clothes. They like the really manky worn out stage. Ds2 is just 3 and we're going thru the 'i do it myself stage' which means 15 minutes watching himself reverse Houdini style trying to get into a jumper - with 2 other kids to dress and the need to leave by 8am it gets very wearing..

Lollystix - Ha ha, that sounds like my 3yr old!
Leo - Yeah, unfortunatley it is normal. I can't get DS to wear jeans, all he wants to wear is trackie pants (which I let him wear for nursery) and he'll only wear t-shirts with pictures on.
