Strange repetitive speech patterns

Hello - DS (5yrs) has suddenly started this weird thing where he will say something and then repeat the same thing in a whisper.

Example: Says "can I have some milk please" then whispers under his breath "can I have some milk please".

He is doing it all the time. Any ideas why? Am not worried, more curious as to why he is doing this.

My DD1 went through a phase of pulling on her pony tail and then doing a wide mouth frog thing, she also cleared her throat before speaking a lot.

DD2 stammered and repeated one word over and over again "I I I I I I I I need a wee"

Both phases

I'm actually looking forward to finding out DD3's quirk, she is 3 so it's due soon Grin
