Is milk a trigger for ADHD?

I just read that on another thread here on MN.

I'd be really interested in any advice on that one.

DS (who displays lots of signs of ADHD) has a very good balanced diet but does drink probably 1-2 pints of milk a day. He adores the stuff!!

He doesn't eat much other dairy stuff, so I didn't see it as a massive problem, but now I'm wondering if they are linked?

Thankyou.

was it the GAPS thread in sn?

if not, have a read of that. or get hold of the natasha campbell mcbride book re the same.

i think it's reasonably accepted that sometimes kids who have a sensitivity to certain foods often crave them - it happens a lot with carbs, and presumably could be the same with dairy/ milk. and the GAPS theory sees diet as having definite neurological implications.

neuro prob not the right word - behavioural/ neuro better...

It wasn't, Madwoman, but I will go and check out that thread now. Thankyou.
