losing a tooth at 4 and 9 months

My son just lost his first tooth, spontaneously, at 4 and 9 months. There is no permanent tooth visible at all. Does anyone know if losing this tooth is something to worry about, eg. a sign of not having brushed his teeth properly?

I can remember losing my first tooth at 4. It's quite normal. My DD was 5 when she lost her first tooth. Your DS isn't far off 5. I don't remember seeing a grown up tooth when she'd just lost hers. It was a few weeks til it started showing.
