Advice 9 yo and knives/sharps

My 9 year old grabbed a knife (according to my 7 yo) and pointed it at him. Then DH said 9yo held a poker towards my 4 yo.
I told him off and asked him about it and he said he wanted to 'stop them'
What on earth can I do to get it through to him how dangerous these are and they aren't to be played with/used as weapons??
I'm scared something might happen. Should I speak to someone about him?
He's not overly aggressive, although he will hit his siblings if they upset him.

I think you really need to have a word with him. I don't think he'd intentionally use it but if he is provoked with a knife in his hand, he might without thinking hurt someone with it.

Make him understand how dangerous it is. And teach him other ways to vent his frustration.

You follow your instinct re seeking help. I don't think its anything major but obviously I dont know your son. If you feel u need to speak to someone then please do.

Thank you, there's been no other incidents. I think he's got the message :)
