Don't know if this is the right place to post but just a quick question to you experienced mums. My 6 week old little boy often puts his tongue out, well sort of more opens his mouth and shows me his tongue, as if he were showing me what is in his mouth IYSWIM. Just wondered what this means? It's definately a cue for something but not convinced it's part of his hungry routine and wasn't sure if it was wind ? Any ideas please? :)

My 10 week also does this but think she is just learning about her body and in her case doesn't seem to be a cue for anything.

My DS did this. I got the feeling he was trying to mimic (sp?) us so I would respond in kind - stick my tongue out as well. I think they're just trying to communicate. Totally normal.
