coaxing manners from visiting children!

Mostly, DD's friends , 6 year olds, are pretty good with basic manners. However there is one friend who doesn't some to be aware of house rules.
Eg..drops coat on floor in hall, leaves uniform on floor in kitchen and seems surprised when asked to tidy it away. Rarely uses please and thank you and when I reminded my DD to say thank you, her friend said thank you in an overtly cheeky way.
I'd hate to think that my DD behaved like this when invited to a friend's!
Shall just keep up with the reminding and hope the penny eventually drops I suppose.

Yes, remind visiting friends of things you'd like them to do. But don't assume they're like it at home. Being on playdates can make them forget stuff they do out of habit at home.
